The robots we build allow us to do things that wouldn’t be possible for humans, from inspecting collapsed mines and detecting landmines to exploring other planets.

Our machines allow us to do incredible things, and we couldn't create them if we didn't work together.

My job is challenging and can often be stressful, but it’s also varied and exciting. I can be working on a project to test instruments going to Mars or looking at using the same technology to improve the efficiency of farming practices in China.

Wayne Tubby

I have overall responsibility for mechanical and electrical work within the group, and I’m responsible for health and safety within the labs.

I write the software that controls how the robots move and navigate, so that they can safely drive themselves to where they need to be.

Steven Kay

I work on hardware design and continual developments for a number of projects for the UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency (ESA)...There are lots of things I love about my job!

Aron Kisdi

The best part of my job is seeing a completed robot working as expected during a field test!
